Once upon a time, there was a little squirrel. 

One day, while it was playing by the river, it fell into the water. 

As it began to drown, it started to scream for help.

A monkey was sitting on the bank of the river. 

When it saw the squirrel, it immediately jumped in to save it. 

The monkey carried the squirrel on its back and took it to the other side of the river. 

The squirrel was very grateful to the monkey. 

It said to the monkey, “You have saved my life. 

I will never be able to repay you.”

The monkey replied, “It’s okay. I am happy that I could help you.”


A few days later, the monkey was wandering in the jungle when it got trapped in a hunter’s net. The net was very strong, and the monkey was unable to escape. 

The monkey started to scream loudly. 

The squirrel was roaming in the jungle and heard the monkey’s voice. 

It went to the monkey and saw it trapped in the net.

The squirrel immediately thought of saving the monkey. 

It started to cut the net with its sharp teeth. After a while, 

the squirrel cut the net and freed the monkey. 

The monkey was very grateful to the squirrel. 

It said to the squirrel, “You have saved my life. 

I am very lucky to have you as my friend.”


Moral of the story: 

The feeling of compassion and helping others is very good. 

When we help others, they feel happy and we also get happiness.
